I have sold quite a few homes in Rigby Idaho.Rigby is kind of like a bedroom community. There are jobs in Rigby, but most people live there and commute to Rexburg or Idaho Falls which are both located about 15 minutes away.
In fact, you can get to the west side of Idaho Falls faster than some of the people who live in Ammon because you just hop on the highway.
Rigby has a ton of 1 acre subdivisions. For those of you wanting to live out in the country, this is where you should live.
There are also quite a bigger selection of homes on more than 1 acre in case you want livestock.
Bonneville County (Idaho Falls) does have homes with acreage, but the bulk of them are in Jefferson County (Rigby).
My wife's family did a 88 unit subdivision in Rigby on 3rd West called Pioneer Park Estates. There currently are only 2 lots left that you could build a home on.
They are $29,900 each if you are interested.
Rigby over the past few years has enjoyed a huge building boom. There are lots of new homes to choose from. The homes are reasonably priced considering the prices for housing around the United States.
The other nice thing about Rigby is it is rural. You can still shop at Broulims grocery store and get everything you need to get done without driving to Idaho Falls.
